A man lost 65 kg to spite his ex (6 photos)

27-year-old Nithun Puveerajasingam gained 44 kg during the COVID-19 pandemic, his weight reached 145 kg. The beloved could not bear that he was “eating himself to death” and left him.





Only then did Nithun come to his senses and began to lose weight. He now weighs 80kg and works as a personal trainer in London.



“For three years now I have been consistently moving towards my goal. And I don’t take breaks longer than a week,” said the man. “I feel great and I certainly won’t return to my previous lifestyle.”





It is worth noting that before the pandemic, Nithun loved sports: he played rugby and worked out in the gym.

“During isolation, I began to gain weight. I didn’t see any friends or family. I sat at home with my girlfriend, ate a lot and smoked,” he said.

"She couldn't watch me eat myself to death, which is understandable. She said if I didn't change she'd leave, and I ignored her."

Due to excess weight, the man began to feel complex, wore baggy clothes, and avoided meeting with friends.



Since February 2021, he gradually improved his diet, quit smoking and started exercising.

“I bought an expander, a bench, dumbbells, a barbell, hung several mirrors, bought myself a punching bag and slowly began to return to my normal lifestyle,” Nithun shared.

To motivate himself, he posts photos of his progress on social media.

In three years, he brought his body to perfection and trained as a trainer.



“I don’t recognize the old me anymore,” says Puvirajasingam. “In a way, I’m even grateful to my ex, because she encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and prove everyone wrong.”



According to research, a person weighing 70 kg can burn up to 800 calories in an hour of boxing.
