Fans climbed into the stadium of the opposing team and had fun to the fullest (7 photos + 1 video)
The public of the American city of Inglewood, California, is indignant: a couple of teenagers, fans of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, entered the new stadium of the Clippers team (the teams are rivals), played tricks there and posted a video on TikTok. The hooligans were found and now they are in trouble.
Two Lakers fans entered the Intuit Dome stadium, which is under construction.
In the footage they posted on TikTok, they climb the stairs into the building, have fun in the gym, throw a ball into the basket, activate a fire extinguisher... The young vandals called their video “Sneaking into the Clippers stadium.”
NBA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has reportedly invested $2 billion into a new state-of-the-art arena.
At one point, one of the guys is seen spraying a fire extinguisher on a basketball. By the end of the video, the troublemakers found themselves on the roof of a building that is still under construction. In the video, one of the two vandals is so reckless that he shows his face for quite a long time.
It is unknown when exactly this break-and-enter occurred.
However, it is known that the mayor of Inglewood, James T. Butts, has already identified the couple and found out who their parents are.
This is not the first incident of this kind. It has recently become especially common for trespassers to break into numerous landmarks and buildings in the Los Angeles area and record their hooligan antics on video.
"These young people and their followers are very aware that there's a price to be paid for that shining moment of TikTok fame," Butts told ABC 7. "We take these things seriously."
“We know who these young people are,” the mayor said. “We have established their identities and the identities of their parents, and they will be interviewed very soon.”
Inglewood Police are aware of the incident and are investigating.
“When you have construction sites, they are a nuisance, they attract children and people who want to steal tools,” the mayor added. “The fact is that this is what happens when you build a large project.”
