The Belarusian tractor presented to the President of Zimbabwe did not start at the most crucial moment (3 photos + 1 video)
The President of Zimbabwe wanted to donate equipment to an educational institution, but there was a slight embarrassment. Which, after a few minutes, was resolved.
A small but unfortunate incident occurred with a Belarusian tractor on February 21, during National Youth Day in Zimbabwe. President Emmerson Mnangagwa solemnly presented the tractor to a youth vocational training center and got behind the wheel himself to demonstrate its capabilities, but it refused to start.
The footage from the event shows that the president of the African country cannot start the tractor for about two minutes, his assistants are running around, trying to tweak something, and then the moment comes when the cause of the malfunction is found and the tractor starts up to the joyful cries of those present.
The Mirror Masvingo drew attention to this incident. It is a subsidiary of the British Daily Mirror. And as you might guess, it is in opposition to the current authorities. Zimbabwean foreign agents are now trying to stir up the topic of the meaninglessness of the contract with Belarus, which promised to supply 3 thousand MTZ tractors and 80 Gomselmash combine harvesters to this African country.
Apparently, the tractor captured in the footage was presented by Alexander Lukashenko to the President of Zimbabwe at the end of January last year. It was then that the leader of Belarus paid an official visit to the African country and signed a mutually beneficial agreement.
