The world's most expensive license plate, worth $15 million, was hung on a Rolls-Royce Cullinan (6 photos)
After being auctioned off in Dubai in the spring of 2023 for a staggering 55 million dirhams (almost $15 million) to an anonymous bidder, the registration plate “P 7” has only now found its owner. It turned out to be a tuned Rolls-Royce Cullinan from the Mansory studio, in which the hood, radiator grille, bumpers and door sills are made of carbon fiber.
However, it’s not the carbon fiber that will draw attention to the 610-horsepower Rolls-Royce Cullinan Linea D’Oro, nor its 24-inch forged wheels or easy-to-remember number. They will be eye-catching thanks to the non-trivial coloring, which is a combination of light turquoise (roof and front part of the body) and black (hood and rear of the car), and even with 24-karat gold accents in the design. A similar color scheme can be seen inside. And even “The Spirit of Ecstasy” did not escape frivolous colorization.
It is unlikely that the cost of the Cullinan Mansory Linea D’Oro reached even one tenth of the cost of its own license plate, taking into account the prices of the previous works of the German studio. Nevertheless, the actual value is still the car itself, since the fabulous price of the license plate is nothing more than a veiled form of donation (money raised at such auctions usually goes to charity), at least for the Emirates.
