Chinese fifth graders receive fish as a reward for good grades
80 students returned home with pork in their hands, 150 received carp, 200 received sugar cane, and some also received plush toys.
In China, excellent students are rewarded in a special way - they are given fresh fish. In the USA, for example, the child is simply praised, and proud parents stick an excellent student badge on their car. Such is the difference between cultures.
