The lower air intakes have also been updated and new optics have been introduced, which are entirely based on LED technology. The new Matrix LED headlights feature a new light signature.
At the rear of the car there is a new bumper and full LED lights. In addition, new possibilities for customization are provided through a choice of body colors and wheel designs. The wheels measure 16 and are also available in 17, 18 and 19 inches.

Gasoline engines with 115 and 150 horsepower are available with or without electrification using a 48-volt mild hybrid system. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automated gearbox (DSG). The model is offered with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The 2.0-liter TSI engines are also updated and gain an additional 20 horsepower.
