Indians presented a transforming auto-rickshaw with a retractable scooter (6 photos + 1 video)
The Indian company Surge Automobiles, controlled by the famous motorcycle manufacturer Hero MotoCorp, has prepared an interesting vehicle. This is a transformer called Surge S32, which can be converted from a rickshaw to a moped in a few minutes.
The company called the platform AMSEP (Advanced Modular Scaleable Electric Platform). It consists of a rear axle with a 13-kilowatt electric motor, power electronics and a removable battery, packaged in a cargo or passenger body. An electric scooter with a 6 kilowatt engine is integrated into the front part, the rear wheel of which is mounted on a special platform.
In the auto-rickshaw form factor, the top speed is said to be limited to 45 km/h, while the scooter itself can go up to 60 km/h. Surge Automobiles has not yet announced the range, prices or start date of sales.
