Nowadays, adults sometimes criticize the younger generation, saying that they only sit on their phones and do nothing. But there are significant exceptions, and not everything is so bad in the world. Many modern children make this world a better place: for example, 12-year-old Roman McConn has been helping homeless animals since childhood. This boy has a big heart!
Unfortunately, there are millions of homeless animals in the world that either end up on the streets or end up in shelters. Only a few are lucky and loving families are found for them. Some shelters have a rule: if animals cannot find owners for a long time, they are euthanized. It's sad, but it's reality. 12-year-old Roman McConn from the American state of Texas is doing everything to correct this situation. Together with his parents, he created an entire campaign, thanks to which he saves thousands of dogs from being euthanized.
Since the launch of the project in 2016, Roman has saved 4,900 dogs. With the help of his parents, the boy finds loving owners for dogs from shelters. At first, he was a volunteer at one of the local shelters, posting videos of dogs on social networks, telling their stories, inspiring other people to adopt dogs from shelters. Then, having gained popularity, Roman launched his own TV show, “Roman to the Rescue,” thanks to which he helps even more furries.
Over the years, Roman visited the famous Ellen DeGeneres show, where she donated $20,000 to his organization. He also received the Kid of the Year award for his efforts. This boy with a big heart inspires millions of people with his example. After all, adopting a dog from a shelter and saving a life is a good and noble deed that will definitely be rewarded!
