In Russia, a pensioner tried to exchange a pistol and ammunition for a bottle of vodka
Barter, of course, failed.
On the evening of January 31, a 70-year-old pensioner dropped into Pyaterochka in the Chertanovo Yuzhnoye district with an extremely unusual offer. He placed his bag on the counter in front of the cashier and pulled out a gun. But instead of committing a robbery, he offered to exchange weapons and ammunition for a bottle of vodka.
The recording from the surveillance camera shows that one of the cashiers even began to ask the price of the goods - he picked up the gun, twirled it and even reloaded it. The store employee, as it later turned out, did this to make sure that it was not a toy in front of him. The pensioner was escorted out of the store and the police were immediately called.
The man, who had a previous conviction, was detained not far from the store. During the search, he was found to have a converted pistol and 18 commercially produced live cartridges.
A criminal case was opened against the detainee under Part 3 of Art. 30 and part 2 art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempted sale of firearms”). The pistol was confiscated from the pensioner and he was placed under house arrest pending trial.
