Blocks of ice fell onto the windshield from the roof of the house he was passing by.
The day before, in the area of the 21st line of Vasilievsky Island, a man drove his car into the yard, and as soon as the Opel stuck its nose out of the arch, a blow fell on the glass, from which the DVR flew somewhere far away.
When the shocked driver and passenger went outside, they saw that blocks of ice had fallen on their car, apparently falling from the uncleaned roof of the house due to the thaw.
It also fell on the roof of the car, but the installed box rack repelled the “shells” - and without it, perhaps the ice floes would have pierced the roof. At least the passengers are sure that they were not injured thanks to him. Thus, the entire impact was taken by the windshield, which sagged inward at the point of impact and therefore had to be replaced.
Spending, of course, is an unpleasant thing, but these lumps could have fallen on people who have neither glass nor trunk overhead, and everything could have ended even sadder.
