The boy also told officers that his parents force him to go to a tutor on weekends. According to Chinese laws, it is prohibited in the country to conduct private classes on weekends and holidays for students under 16 years of age, so law enforcement officers became interested in the student’s statement.
“Homework in the morning and classes in the afternoon. You must be under a lot of stress, right?” — the policeman asked the teenager.
Officers reportedly spoke with the student and even helped him with his math homework. Users of social networks supported the child, noting that studying often causes severe stress in children.
It is not reported whether the student's parents were prosecuted.
