As soon as this became known on social networks, a whole wave of hatred fell on the woman.

41-year-old Pamela Reed became the mother of a girl in 2015. A year and a half later, the woman came up with the idea of how to make money. The woman stated on social networks that her daughter Addie Ray has myeloid leukemia, a malignant disease of the hematopoietic system. The woman forged documents and showed on social networks how her daughter was “fighting” the disease. Reed claimed that Ray suffers from frequent seizures and in the future she will have a port system implanted, which will allow her to receive medications without the insertion of needles. For all this, caring netizens donated money to the woman. Each time the mother came up with new diseases. After leukemia, she said that the baby was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a disease in which a person’s bone marrow stops producing enough blood cells.

The woman shaved her head, took her to hospitals, forced her to take tests and undergo examinations. Pamela couldn’t get enough and she invented new diseases for the girl.

Greed destroyed the woman. She once stated that her daughter was blind in one eye. During a routine examination, the nurse at Addie's school noticed that the girl could see in both eyes. The nurse reported this to the police and Pamela’s deception was revealed. It turned out that the girl never had cancer and is completely healthy. The mother dragged her daughter to hospitals, publishing heartbreaking photographs. But in fact, all the photographs show only moments of examination, not treatment. Because of her mother’s deception, the girl missed more than 280 hours of school, and her mother “enriched herself” by 50 thousand dollars, DailyMail reports.

Pamela Reed was detained. At first, the woman tried to lie to investigators, but later admitted that she had made up the diagnoses for the sake of donations. She also said she packed other cancer drugs into boxes of cancer drugs and gave her daughter medication for seizures.
