Haley Nichelle Clifton-Carmack, 26, of Waynesville, was arrested last Friday in Comal County, Texas. A math teacher is accused of molesting a 16-year-old student.
The illegal meetings took place 1,300 km from the place where the woman was detained.
The teenager's father is also charged with failure to interfere with molestation. The man allegedly knew that his son was in a relationship with the teacher.

Detectives visited the school on December 8 and spoke to the teacher, but she denied the allegations. However, her smartphone contained messages confirming her connection with the teenager.
The child who contacted law enforcement said Clifton-Carmack was "too friendly with students and sometimes dresses inappropriately."

She also wore tight leggings that "showed off her body" and was reprimanded by school officials for "getting too close to students."
Clifton-Carmack left Missouri for Texas to visit relatives on December 23, but was in no hurry to return.
The woman is currently in the Comal County Jail. She has been charged with child abuse.
