Sea lions go on a fishing rampage in Chile (2 photos + 1 video)
Chile has its own atmosphere.
There, local fishermen decided to hold a protest in Valparaiso. Fisheries workers are demanding that the regional government pay them a bonus to compensate for losses caused by the ban on hake fishing.
The conflict led to clashes between police and demonstrators, leading to the suspension of rail services between Limanche and Puerto. Fishermen say 900 families were affected by the ban and were expected to receive compensation before Christmas.
Three sea lions decided to join a protest against restrictions on hake fishing and crawled onto the road right during a clash between fishermen and police. They arrived not alone, but accompanied by a flock of noisy seagulls, some of which even helped themselves to fish right on the police cars.
After such a performance, the clashes between fishermen and police stopped, but it is unknown whether the fishermen received their payments.
