Nissan GT-R converted into the iconic Skyline R34 (10 photos)
London studio Artisan Vehicle Design has developed a new appearance for the Nissan GT-R supercar. The designers claim that they have given the coupe the features of its famous predecessor - the Skyline GT-R in the back of the R34. It is planned to assemble only 36 of these supercars, but the studio does not disclose the price. Deliveries will begin in 2024.
Artisan Vehicle Design says it will create a completely new carbon fiber body for the GT-R. Judging by the photo, the supercar gets new R34-style optics, a different front bumper with rectangular air intakes and a splitter, new wings and various aerodynamic trims. In addition, there are different fenders and a hood, as well as a different design for the rear pillars.
The conversion kit also includes a large wing and new Rays TE37 wheels. However, they may turn out to be options: the studio promises to release two versions of the GT-R R35 conversion called Track and Ultimate, but how they will differ is not specified. According to the designers, the new set of panels will increase the GT-R's body rigidity compared to the standard coupe and make it noticeably lighter.
It is planned to remodel the supercar's interior as well. Artisan Vehicle Design created exclusive carbon seats, a new steering wheel and gear selector for it. A large display will appear on the center console, and the interior will be trimmed with a large amount of carbon fiber, leather and Alcantara.
Nissan itself unveiled an updated version of the current GT-R in January. The main change is improved aerodynamics, but the company did not interfere with the power plant. The GT-R is still available in two versions of the 3.8-liter V6 with 573 and 608 hp.
