An old hotel building was moved in Canada using 700 bars of soap.
It all happened in Halifax. The Victorian-style building, built in 1826, was in poor condition. One of the developers decided to save it by buying it and moving it to a new location, connecting it with a residential building. And for this I used soft pieces of special soap - about 700 pieces in total. Thanks to this method, the hotel weighing 220 tons has already been “moved” by more than nine meters with the help of two excavators. Later, after the construction of a new foundation, another move awaits him.
