The new Ferrari LaFerrari released in 2016 will be put up for auction (26 photos)
At the end of January in Paris at Sotheby's auction, one of the 499 existing Ferrari LaFerrari super coupes will be put up for sale. The car was assembled in 2016, and the main advantage of this example is its condition: to date, it has driven only 14 kilometers. They plan to earn from 3.7 to 4.8 million euros.
LaFerrari was a technological breakthrough for the company for several reasons. For the supercar, for example, they developed a unique monocoque, which became 20% lighter than the previous flagship Enzo, but at the same time 27% stiffer.
LaFerrari became the first full-fledged hybrid from Maranello. Its power plant combines an 800-horsepower 6.3-liter V12 and a KERS system borrowed from Formula 1 cars. With 963 horsepower, the supercar could accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 352 km/h.
A total of 499 of these cars were planned to be produced, but Ferrari later collected the 500th copy in order to sell it at a charity auction to help earthquake victims. This particular coupe was released in 2016, with the body painted white at the customer’s request and the interior trimmed in black Alcantara with red accents. The owner of the super hybrid initially treated it as a collection item: the car was registered only two years later, and by November 2021, only 9 kilometers were shown on its odometer. However, the LaFerrari is carefully and regularly serviced by authorized dealers.
