“Hello, country!”: The BBC presenter greeted viewers by showing her middle finger
Either she made a mistake, or she was joking. Or maybe she did what she had long dreamed of.
Mariam Moshiri is a presenter for the British BBC. Today she was a little embarrassed. “Slightly” is when she showed her middle finger live to the whole country.
The program was broadcast yesterday, started at 12:00 London time, Moshari opened the “Prime Minister’s Questions” section. At the same time, she answered for all the officials.
Then she apologized and made excuses for a long time: she allegedly joked with fellow cameramen and counted down the time until the broadcast on her fingers. When there was one second left, she showed the well-known gesture and joyfully chirped the standard TV greeting. I just didn’t take into account that the broadcast started a little earlier.
I pretended to count down as the director counted from 10 to 0 with his fingers to indicate the number. That is, from 10 fingers to one. When we got to 1, I jokingly turned my finger, not realizing that it would be caught on camera. This was a personal joke on the team and I'm really sorry it aired! “I didn’t want this to happen, and I’m sorry if I offended or upset anyone,” the presenter said.
The funny show was enjoyed by many viewers. And they were divided into two camps: some were indignant, while others said that they would gladly show the same gesture to their “favorite” colleagues.
