This list is not a ranking, but highlights some of the most prominent women of our time.

The British newspaper Financial Times published a list of the 25 most influential women of this year. Candidates were selected over several months: journalists consulted with dozens of companies, readers and leaders in various industries. Specially for the publication, short interviews were given by no less influential personalities than the chosen ones themselves. Therefore, perhaps the most interesting thing about this list is that other women talk about the chosen ladies, admiring their strength and talent. We have provided their most striking quotes.

Margot Robbie - actress and producer

Director and producer Emerald Fennell said this about Margot:

There is no one like Margot. I was lucky enough to work with her (she produced Saltburn and Promising Young Woman) and her knowledge, insight, support and dedication made these films possible. I can't wait to see what her brilliant mind creates next.

Beyoncé - musician

Oprah Winfrey:

Every moment of her Renaissance World Tour left me in awe. It was truly an incredible experience and was made possible by her great creativity and leadership.

Barbara Kingsolver - writer

Popular American writer Anne Patchett:

Barbara Kingsolver has long urged readers to open their eyes: open their eyes to the crisis of the planet, to poverty, to the wonders of food and farms. She is not only one of our greatest writers, but also one of our greatest teachers, and nowhere is her mastery more evident than in Copperhead's Demon, a reimagining of Dickens's David Copperfield set in modern-day Appalachia. .

Phoebe Philo - fashion designer

Creative consultant Gabriel Businha:

By prioritizing what women want from their clothes and how they make them feel, Phoebe has transformed the modern woman's wardrobe.

Alia Bhatt - Indian actress and producer

Film critic Shubhra Gupta:

In her last few films (Gangubai Kathiawadi, Darlings, 2022), which were blockbusters, she became a critical favorite for handling challenging roles with acuity.

Aespa - music group

Eugene Choi, South Korean singer:

In the two years since the release of their first album, Aespa has set and then broken a number of records for K-pop girl groups, becoming the first to surpass one million first-week sales with three consecutive albums.

Lola Shonain - poet

Writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie:

In her quiet poems exploring family life, characters and metaphors are as ubiquitous as children (in one poem, sea waves rush “like impudent children”). Her widely beloved novel, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives, is an insightful study of a polygamous Nigerian family; it has been adapted for the stage and deserves to be adapted for film.

Mira Murati - Albanian engineer

Marissa Mayer is co-founder and CEO of artificial intelligence company Sunshine:

Meera Murati, CTO of OpenAI, is at the helm of the current deep digital transformation. The innovative products of OpenAI, ChatGPT and Dall-E have captured the world's imagination and will fundamentally change the way we work, learn and express ourselves creatively.

Fran Drescher - comedian and activist

Actress Lisa Ann Walter:

As president of our union SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Artists), she led a 118-day strike this year to achievean acceptable agreement with the studios. She made them see us as people and not just numbers on a profit and loss report.

Ursula von der Leyen is the President of the European Commission and the first woman to hold this position.

Janet Yellen, US Treasury Secretary:

I have seen first-hand how she has brought governments together to take new and innovative measures to counter the economic impact of Covid-19 and help speed up Europe's recovery.

Lisa Dyson - scientist and entrepreneur

Institute for Advanced Study Professor Alondra Nelson:

Through her businesses Kiverdi and Air Protein, Dyson—the fourth African-American woman in history to earn a doctorate in theoretical physics—is expanding NASA's space-age research.

Cori Gauff - American tennis player

Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka:

I remember watching Corey practice at a tennis center in Florida when she was nine or ten years old. She was already a great athlete and plied her trade as a top-ten professional.

Jennifer Hermoso - Spanish football player

England women's football team captain Leah Williamson:

Playing against Jenny is a test you look forward to as a professional footballer. She can do whatever she wants with the ball, as she demonstrated this summer at the Women's World Cup.

Одна политик, одна учёная. Остальные самые влиятельные - популярные актрисы и спортсменки. Саркастичный палец вверх.
