It so happened that films based on the Harry Potter universe have become an integral part of the New Year holidays. So it's time for everyone to prepare to return to Hogwarts! To date, 11 films have been made based on this magical franchise: 9 original parts and 3 spin-offs “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. And many more films will probably be made in this universe. It is also known that fans of the world of JK Rowling are a very strong, friendly and rather harsh community that is very jealous of their beloved universe. Actually, like their colleagues in the workshop - Tolkienists. Now, pay attention, this post will cause a strong burning sensation among Potter fans. After all, here we will try to find out which films in the Harry Potter universe viewers love the most.

Harry Potter is a very long franchise. The little actors literally grew up before our eyes. After all, in the very first part, Daniel Radcliffe was only 11 years old! And the last one is already 21 years old. In other words, we watched for ten whole years as young wizards became adult masters of magic. And the films themselves and their plots grew up along with the characters.

The first two parts were directed by the master of family cinema, Chris Columbus, who gave us two parts of “Home Alone” (without which the New Year is also impossible), “Mrs. Doubtfire”, “A Gift for Christmas” and other wonderful family and kind films. Therefore, the first two “Harry Potter” films were imbued with some kind of “Christmas” spirit, which created a special feeling of holiday. This is also largely due to the amazing composer John Williams, who also wrote the music for the same “Home Alone”.

But the subsequent parts became increasingly darker. In the last parts, it’s as if the bright colors have run out, and we see everything that happens through some kind of swamp-gray filter. What can I say, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is actually some kind of psychological thriller! But nevertheless, all 9 parts have become a “cult” and an integral part of the culture, which is adored by millions of people.

But towards "Fantastic Beasts"... the attitude was ambiguous. If the first part pleasantly surprised the audience, then the subsequent “scandalous” parts can even be classified as “failed” projects.

So, what films in the Harry Potter universe do audiences love the most? As always, numbers will help us in this matter. The TOP is compiled based on ratings on three aggregators - IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. Let's see who came in first place.
