This iceberg is called A23a - it broke away from the glacier back in 1986 and after that got stuck in the shallows of the Wedell Sea. Recent satellite images have shown that it has begun to move and has entered the open waters of the Southern Ocean and may collapse there. The area of A23a is about 4170 km². For comparison: the area of Moscow is 2511 km², and St. Petersburg - 1439 km².
