In the city of Bor, Nizhny Novgorod region, they decided to repair the road. A tender was announced for this good cause and a contractor was chosen who did not charge the highest price. And part of the money was taken from local residents - that’s why they became indignant when they saw workers dumping asphalt directly onto the snow.

But local authorities rushed to reassure citizens. Its representatives stated that they saved money on repairs, and the contractor promised them a guarantee for their work - a full 5 years.

The repair of this road became possible thanks to the savings that emerged after competitive procedures for road construction in 2023. Accordingly, the competition for the repair of this road and the preparation of the necessary documents took place in the fall. The work is being carried out on co-financing terms with local residents.

Acceptance of work by the customer and the certified laboratory is scheduled for Friday. Residents of Lipovaya Street are also invited to the reception. If there are visual defects or a negative laboratory conclusion, the work will not be paid for. Taking into account unfavorable weather conditions during asphalt paving work, the number of pavement samples will be increased. According to the contract, the warranty period for repair work is 5 years.

It makes sense that local residents were invited to accept the work. It is unlikely that they will approve of a road that is falling apart under their feet - which was partially paid for out of their pockets.
