A large Xiaomi with four wheels was “accidentally” declassified (7 photos)
Xiaomi planned to present the car at the Guangzhou Motor Show, but the “gadget” was declassified ahead of schedule by the Chinese Ministry of Industry during the certification process. 
The first four-wheeled Xiaomi was called SU7. It is almost identical in size to the Model S: 4997x1963x1455 mm with three meters between the axles. Several design options for wheels up to 20 inches and an active rear spoiler are promised, which, however, not all trim levels will receive. The images also show roof-mounted lidar and side-mounted cameras, suggesting that the SU7 will offer extensive autonomous driving capabilities.
The sedan is certified in two versions. The basic one will be equipped with one electric motor with 299 horsepower on the rear axle, while the more expensive one will add another motor at the front, which will increase the output to 673 hp. With. Two battery options are also known, but their capacity has not yet been announced.
According to preliminary data, the Xiaomi SU7 on-board media system will receive an operating system that will allow seamless integration of user smartphones of the same brand. Other details will likely be revealed during the official reveal.
The production of Xiaomi SU7 will be carried out by BAIC, the company’s partner in this project. The test assembly has already been launched, commercial copies of the electric car will begin rolling off the assembly line in December. The start of sales is scheduled for February 2024.
