In China they decided to gradually replace plastic with bamboo (3 photos)
It grows quickly and is much more environmentally friendly than its artificial competitor.
The State Development and Reform Committee of the People's Republic of China has developed a three-year program for the development of the country's bamboo industry. According to the committee’s idea, bamboo should be a worthy competitor to the plastic that has filled the planet. Currently, in China alone, 837 species of this plant grow and about 10 thousand factories for its processing are successfully operating.
China produces over 1.2 billion bamboo straws annually. In addition, the production of knives, forks, cups and plates made from this material has increased noticeably.
Bamboo is also used in industry - it is used to make housings for electronic devices, pipes, fillers, and so on.
Over the next three years, 10 research bases will be created, the task of which will be to research and formulate standards for bamboo products.
Friends, how do you think it is possible to give up plastic in everyday life?
