38-year-old Jessica Origliasso from the group The Veronicas published a video on social networks that made many of her subscribers feel sick.

The shocking footage was taken during the filming of the video for the latest single by The Veronicas - Perfect.

Posting a video of her close contact with nature, the Queensland singer revealed that the spider on her face was a trained one. And she simply called him Hunter, like a close friend.



“I never thought that I would fall in love with a spider. Before that, I had real arachnophobia,” she admitted. “Almost everyone thought it was CGI, so we had to share another video of Hunter.”



The performer also thanked the trainer for telling her about spiders, and then shared some interesting facts with her fans:

Huntsman spiders (also known as trapping spiders) are considered to be a fairly social species, and their speed allows them to stalk and hunt a wide variety of prey. Despite this, they are reluctant to bite people and usually try to escape rather than become aggressive.

Jessica urged her followers not to kill these creatures if they find them in their homes (which is quite possible, this is Australia!), but to “peacefully remove them.”



“It’s true that these guys are more afraid of you than you are of them,” she claims. “And it’s also true that every Australian is born with the fearless spirit of Steve Irving within them.”

In conclusion, Jessica stated that this encounter with nature was one of the best experiences of her entire life.



The singer’s fiery speech did not really reassure the frightened fans, and they bombarded her with comments:

“I was disgusted to look at this”, “I love you and respect spiders, but this sight incapacitated me”, “You are so brave, but I’m wildly afraid of all sorts of bugs and tiny creatures. I could never put one of these on my face,” “It gives me anxiety.”
