The crashed Lamborghini from the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" wants to be sold for $2 million (27 photos)

At the end of November, the wrecked Lamborghini Countach that Leonardo DiCaprio drove in Martin Scorsese's film The Wolf of Wall Street will be auctioned at Bonhams in Abu Dhabi. It is noteworthy that they plan to earn $2 million for the car.





According to the auction house, two Countachs were used in the filming, but the double car appears on screen in just two scenes for just a few seconds. The role of stockbroker Jordan Belfort's supercar was played in the vast majority of episodes by this particular Lamborghini. He was injured in the famous scene when Belfort, played by DiCaprio, while under the influence of drugs, is trying to get home.

After filming of this scene was completed, the Countach was not repaired, remaining unchanged as a kind of museum piece. It will be handed over to the buyer in the “fresh from the set” condition. In addition to the car and documents confirming its authenticity, the new owner will receive Belfort’s screen costume from that very scene, a director’s chair and a clapperboard signed by Martin Scorsese, DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, as well as two crew sweatshirts.

The film uses the Lamborghini Countach in the 25th Anniversary version - only 658 of them were assembled. The modification, developed with the participation of Horatio Pagani, was distinguished mainly by redesigned aerodynamics and was considered the fastest version of the supercar thanks to a top speed of 295 km/h.

It is noteworthy that the duplicate supercar, which can be identified by a slightly different bumper and interior trim, will also be put up for auction, but a little later - RM Sotheby’s will hold an auction in early December in New York. They also expect to fetch up to two million dollars for this Countach.
