A 29-year-old hockey player died after an opponent cut his neck with a skate.
And the doctors could no longer help him.
Adam Johnson was a forward for Pittsburgh before moving to the Nottingham Panthers.
And during the next game, Johnson received a terrible injury - he fell on the ice, and an opponent went over his throat. With this cut he was taken off the ice, but they could not save him.
The Panthers said on their social media:
Adam was not only an outstanding hockey player, but also a great teammate and an incredible person who had his whole life ahead of him. The Panthers would like to express our thoughts and condolences to Adam's family, his partner and all his friends at this extremely difficult time.
