A homeless man won 37 thousand euros, but cannot take them due to lack of documents (2 photos)
But this story has a happy ending. Charitable organizations promised to help the Italian homeless man.
A homeless man from the small Italian city of Senigallia bought lottery tickets for a long time and used the same seven numbers until, finally, luck smiled at him. Last Tuesday, Gianluigi, nicknamed Cassano, named after the famous former Roma and Real Madrid footballer, learned that a lottery ticket worth 1.5 euros brought him a winnings of 37,045 euros.
But Gianluigi did not have to rejoice for long. The man learned that he could not collect the money due to the lack of a health insurance card, and among the usual documents, the homeless man only has an individual tax number, which is not enough to receive the prize.
“To get it you need a medical card, but I don’t have one, I only have the old tax code, which is no good, I need the one in the medical card,” Gianluigi complained to reporters.

But since this story has reached even us, there is no doubt that the homeless person will be helped to receive the coveted 37 thousand euros (after paying taxes he will receive 30 thousand). The charity Caritas, which helps the homeless, has already promised to restore the necessary documents to the man.
Note that the Superenalotto lottery, whose tickets were constantly bought by a homeless Italian, is considered the most generous - the jackpots are among the largest in the world. Together with Gianluigi, 7 other Italian residents won the same amount.
