Via social media, a tourist captured the exact moment when two men left the beach to take shelter from the rain and were heading to a gazebo while walking along the beach when, within seconds, they were struck by lightning.
Following the event, municipal president José María Valencia confirmed the deaths of two people who were identified as a trader from Tecomán in the neighboring state of Colima, and a woman from Guanajuato.
