In the Indian state of Kerala, the Onam harvest festival takes place every year, during which men dressed as tigers and leopards parade through the streets. Participants paint their bodies in the form of the heads of predatory cats and also wear corresponding masks.
Only male representatives are allowed to dance.
In total, about 800 men take part in the parade every year. Event participants must have at least a small belly.
