The American company Space Perspective plans to begin 6-hour tourist voyages into space in a specially equipped balloon in 2024. So that potential customers do not doubt the comfort of the flight, the company showed what the toilet on board their aircraft would look like.

There aren't many toilets that can compare to this. After all, it offers stunning views of our planet from space, and you can literally observe all this beauty while sitting on the toilet.

The toilet is so luxurious that its designers called it "the world's first space spa." Introducing the project, Florida-based Space Perspective wrote: "One of the first questions we get about a six-hour space flight is, 'What about... going to the bathroom?' Please. This is the perfect retreat for our explorers on their journey to the edge of space."

Space Perspective hopes to launch the first flight to the edge of space in late 2024.

An elegant capsule called “Spaceship Neptune” has been developed, in which travelers will be able to admire panoramic views from an altitude of more than 32 kilometers, eat and drink deliciously, and listen to music in soft reclining chairs.

Ticket price: $125,000

Taking off from Florida

Duration: 6 hours

Zero gravity: no

Altitude: 32.2 km

Number of passengers: 8 people

For two hours, passengers will be able to view through large windows “the curvature of the Earth, the complete blackness of space and the thin blue line of our atmosphere,” according to Space Perspective. The capsule will be equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, which will allow passengers to “invite family and friends from Earth on the journey.”

Space Perspective is not the only company planning to make money from space tourism. But what sets her apart from her competitors is the fact that she constantly boasts of the "unbeatable view" from her aircraft's lavatory.

In its latest advertising campaign, it specifically mentioned that the bathroom would be painted in soft, soothing colors, decorated with living plants, and it would also be possible to look out onto the Earth directly from it. In addition, a soft seat will be installed on the toilet lid, turning the toilet into a comfortable chair where you can “enjoy a moment of privacy.” And thanks to Wi-Fi, you can take a selfie in the bathroom! Just like you are used to doing at home, only at an altitude of 32 km.

Unlike Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin and Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic, which feature the turbulence of rocket and spaceplane flights, Space Perspective promises a somewhat calmer journey into the Earth's stratosphere.

The craft will take passengers 20 miles (32.2 kilometers) high, but they won't experience the weightlessness offered by Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket (105 kilometers high) and Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo (80 kilometers high).

The spherical Space Perspective capsule will be attached to a balloon launched from ships converted into “floating spaceports” off the coast of Florida. It is currently under construction near NASA's Kennedy Space Center, with the first launch scheduled for late next year.
