Last week, a fire broke out in a Sydney hostel due to an electric scooter. A CCTV camera captured the moment the battery exploded, causing fire to engulf the two-storey building and forcing more than 70 guests to flee.
The footage shows two guests at the Mad Monkey Downtown Backpackers Hostel walking out of their room into the hallway at 9:08 a.m. when a fireball suddenly erupts in the doorway.
