On October 4, Netflix released a documentary series dedicated to the life of David Beckham. The film also talks about the personal life of footballer and former member of the Spice Girls group Victoria Beckham, and at the same time sheds light on an unpleasant incident that occurred in the early years of the famous couple's marriage.

Victoria and David Beckham opened up about their difficult relationship for the first time in a new Netflix series.

In 2004, information leaked to the media that the football player and a certain Rebecca Luz were having an affair. At that time, David had been married to a former member of the Spice Girls for five years.

Rebecca was a TV star and model, born in Spain, but received Dutch citizenship thanks to her father, a Dutch diplomat.

The mother of two became Beckham's personal assistant when he played for Real Madrid. In an interview, Luz claimed that David is an amazing lover, and they cannot keep their hands off each other.

Rebecca currently lives a very different life in Norway with her husband Sven Kristjar Skayaa, whom she married in 2012.

The Beckhams have been married for 24 years. Victoria admitted that the time spent in Madrid was “the most difficult of her life.”

In the fourth and final episode of Netflix, Victoria spoke candidly about what happened.

The 49-year-old designer held back tears when asked whether the period in Spain was the most difficult.

“100 percent,” Victoria admitted. "It was the most difficult period for us. It seemed like the whole world was against us."

The mother of four explained: “The thing is that we were against each other, to be honest. Before Madrid it seemed like we were against everyone else, but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But in Spain it wasn’t "It felt like we had each other. And it's sad."

"I can't even tell you how hard it was. And how much it affected me," she added.

“Was I offended by David? To be completely honest, yes, I was offended. It was the most unhappy time of my life. And it’s not that I felt unheard, because I always remembered that my husband needed attention ".

The former Posh Spice admitted that their life in Madrid was a nightmare and a real circus.
