Beachgoers rescued a large shark
On a beach in the United States, vacationers saw a shark washed ashore and decided to help it.
The incident happened at the Pensacola Beach resort in Florida. As one of the vacationers said, he saw that a mako shark approached the shore at high speed, jumped out onto the sand at the surf line and got stuck. “She tried to get back into the water for several minutes, and then her husband went to help,” the woman who filmed the rescue of the predator shared her memories.
The American, along with other eyewitnesses, tried to return the shark to the water with his bare hands, but the animal began to resist and once threw the rescuers away. In the end, they still managed to grab the mako by the tail, turn it face towards the ocean and push it into the water. After this, the fish swam away to the applause of its saviors and eyewitnesses.
Mako sharks are large predators - their length can reach four and a half meters. They live in the waters of temperate and tropical seas and are considered one of the fastest representatives of their species. During throws, they can accelerate to 74 kilometers per hour and jump out of the water to a height of up to six meters.
