The cook showed what they feed children in a kindergarten in Sweden
Netizen Jelena lives in Sweden and works as a cook in a kindergarten. In her blog, she talks about how and what children are fed in the garden.
There are six groups in the preschool, each of which is assigned its own cart. Every day, the teachers give the cooks a sign in which they note how many people have come to the kindergarten, who is a vegetarian, who is not allowed dairy products, who is allergic to eggs, and who does not eat fish.
Jelena showed the menu for one day. The main course was vegetarian goulash made from carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans and paprika in curry sauce. Serve as a side dish with bulgur and a plate of fresh carrots, beans, corn and feta cheese. For an afternoon snack, the children were given a smoothie made from banana, strawberries and yogurt.
On Friday they cooked pasta for the children. It seemed that they feed pasta in ordinary Russian gardens, but the cook cooked colored pasta - wheat, tomato and spinach. In addition to the pasta, there is smoked turkey fillet gravy, and a separate dish is prepared for vegetarian children. Also, every day the children are served vegetables, this time green beans, carrots, broccoli and baked beets.
Monday in the Swedish kindergarten is a vegetarian day. Then in the Swedish kindergarten they can prepare the Mexican dish chili sin carne, that is, chili without meat. According to Jelena, the chili is made mild and without the chili pepper itself. The side dish is served with rice and always vegetables: cucumbers, broccoli, beans and corn. In addition, the children were treated to nachos.
On Tuesdays, kindergarten eats fish - for example, in the form of fish balls with boiled potatoes, coleslaw and peas.
Jelena said that they do not portion food. Shared plates are laid on each table for five to six people, and the children are already distributing food under the supervision of a teacher.
