This is what Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos says about his brainchild - the Wedding Cake pavilion, the sweetest of architectural treasures awaiting visitors to the Waddeson Estate Buckinghamshire.

The 12 meter high cake took almost five years to create, and it covered with thousands of tiles, glazed in pale pinks, greens and blue tones.



Vasconcelos called the creation of this pavilion “the largest challenge" during his 30-year career. She describes her pavilion as "temple of love" and calls it "part sculpture, part architectural garden madness and a celebration of fun and joy."





Park visitors can wander past ceramic mermaids and statues of dolphins with water flowing from their mouths, admire the golden walls and pastel blue columns, as well as pink spears, hanging from the ceiling like chocolate chips.
