Murmansk fisherman caught toothy fish (6 photos + 1 video)
Sailor and blogger Roman Fedortsov caught a bizarre fish again. The creature's jaws have several rows of human-like teeth. It is likely that the large spotted fish is a type of eel. catfish.
Fedortsov works on a trawler and spends several months at sea in search of mysterious creatures.
This time he came across a variety of eel catfish. These fish feed on mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, and jellyfish. Their powerful toothy jaws allow crushing the thick walls of shells.
They usually grow up to 2.5 m in length and are found in the North Pacific at depths of up to 200 m.
There is an assumption that catfish are monogamous and form pairs for life.
“There are never too many catfish. Especially toothy catfish!”, the author signed the video.
Roman's collection is replenished with new inhabitants of the depths ocean. The description of his page reads: "The abyss is a little deeper than You think. The sky astern is always beautiful."
