Charles Gregory was fishing off the coast of St. Augustine when a large wave threw the navigator into the water.
He managed to get back on board, but the partially submerged boat was swept out to sea. For two days, the man struggled to survive in the scorching Florida sun, suffering from jellyfish stings and spotting sharks nearby.
Fortunately, the crew of an aircraft flying over the sea spotted the boat about 12 miles (19 km) from the coast. After the alert, the US Coast Guard sailed for the man and brought him back to land. The fisherman was dehydrated and emaciated. Now he is resting at home.
