Ancient saber discovered in Kyrgyzstan (4 photos)
June 4, 2023 three brothers from the village of Amanbaev, Talas area found a rare artifact. Saber is lovely example of medieval art. Excellent performance and condition weapons testify to the skill of blacksmiths of that time. Nakhodka unique not only for Kyrgyzstan, but throughout Central Asia.
Chyngyz, Abdylda and Kubat Muratbekov together with Nurdin Dzhumanaliev are actively engaged in archeology. Over the past year, brothers about 250 historical artifacts were transferred to the fund of the Manas Ordo Museum.
The saber consists of several parts, including the pommel, handle, cross and blade. This type of weapon originated in Iran in the 12th century, and then spread from Morocco to Pakistan. curved shape suggests that the saber belongs to a Muslim country, similar to the "shamshir" type sabers found in the Indo-Iranian region.

The brothers also found a vessel 5 cm in diameter for melting metal and coin with Arabic inscriptions on both sides. Such coins were used in Kyrgyzstan in the 11th century, when the state arose Karakhanid.
According to Syyatbek Ibraliev, an employee of the national complex "Manas Ordo", the finds indicate that in this area there were workshops for minting coins.
