Two people died in a severe accident on the WHSD in St. Petersburg
The driver of the Shakhman dump truck crashed into a MAN truck standing in the far right lane, which was participating in road works. The blow knocked him over on his side. The dump truck crashed into a Porsche, and then collided with a fence, drove into the oncoming lane and also fell on its side.
"On July 10, 2023, at 13:07, at the 33rd kilometer of the WHSD, an unidentified driver, driving a Shacman dump truck, hit a MAN truck standing in the far right lane, driven by a driver involved in road works.
As a result of the collision, the MAN rolled over on its side, and the dump truck collided with a Porsche car driven by a 46-year-old driver, after which it ran into a power fence, partially drove into the oncoming traffic lane and also rolled onto its side.
As a result of the accident, both truck drivers died on the spot from their injuries, the Porsche driver was hospitalized in a moderate condition.
Police officers are checking, the details of the incident and the identity of the dead are being established," the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region said.
