Oil platform exploded in the Gulf of Mexico (4 photos + 2 videos)
The oil platform is owned by the Mexican oil and gas corporation Pemex. 
Explosion and major fire at the Nohoch oil platform Alfa happened yesterday afternoon off the coast of Mexico. At the time of the emergency on the platform there were 180 employees of the Mexican oil and gas corporation Pemex.
At least eight people were injured, according to the latest reports. two of them died, another worker is listed as missing. Auxiliary vessels were able to evacuate most of the staff and help of fire extinguishing systems after a few hours localized fire.
The Pemex Corporation said that the victims of the platform fires played a significant role in the gas production system. And this one the incident will hit the overall performance of the company hard. 
How badly the platforms were damaged and what caused the fire is still unknown.
