Keanu Reeves and the Dogstar band together again: the musicians performed at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival

The Dogstar team, where the actor plays bass, played 12 songs. Three of them will be included in the band's new album.

Reeves said that as soon as they met and started playing, they immediately knew that they wanted to play together again.

The band, featuring Keanu Reeves, formed in 1991 and released two studio albums before disbanding in 2002.

Dogstar was born by chance when Keanu Reeves met drummer Robert Mailhouse by chance in a supermarket in 1991.

Drummer Mailhouse was wearing a Detroit Red Wings sweater, drawing the attention of Reeves, who is an avid hockey fan.

Having struck up a conversation, the actor and musician quickly became friends. They originally joined Gregg Miller as guitarist and vocals in 1992, and then Bret Domrose as additional vocalist and guitarist in 1994.
