Chinese alliance SAIC-GM-Wuling finally declassified microcar, which will enter the local market under the name Baojun Yep. His appearance is very reminiscent of Suzuki Jimny and Ford Bronco. 
The off-road style of Baojun Yep can be emphasized with assistance of the manufacturer itself: the company intends to offer for a small electric car a lot of related accessories. Already presented to for example, a variety of roof rails, wheel arch linings, power bumpers and forwarding trunks. Shown even Yep, complex transformed in retro style: it is richly decorated with chrome and received unusual closed wheels.
At the same time, Yep has a monocoque body, 150 mm ground clearance and equipped with only one 68-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle. Thus, calling it an SUV will not work. He is oriented for use in metropolitan areas. Thanks to a small 28-kilowatt battery Yep will travel without recharging about 300 km at maximum speed 100 km/h.
The length of the car is 3381 mm, between the axles of Yep 2110 mm. IN cabin, according to the manufacturer, will freely accommodate four adults, however, the luggage compartment of the electric car is practically devoid of, although has a full third door.
The equipment for Yep is planned to be rich. These are 15 inch rims already in the basic configuration, matrix LED optics, power seats, climate control and two 10.25-inch screens in salon. Another feature is a horizontal bar on the front panel, on which you can hang holders for gadgets or shelves for small of things. It is noteworthy that for all the style of the interior, Yep is devoid of armrest between the front seats.
The start of sales is scheduled for May. Given the spectacular appearance and an extensive set of equipment, Baojun Yep will definitely not be available. Structurally, Baojun Yep is unified to a certain extent with bestseller Wuling Mini EV, but most likely it will be noticeable expensive. The expected price is about 100 thousand yuan, which can be easily increased due to options, among which there is even an external display. It is installed in the place where ordinary SUVs mounted spare wheel. However, in the future, Yep may have more affordable version, which will be cheaper due to the rejection of some equipment and the use of budget finishing materials.
