The border of Lithuania and Belarus was patrolled by a furry "border guard"
In Lithuania, on the border with Belarus, right at the newly built fence, they noticed a furry "border guard". The patrol video was published by the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service.
The bear was walking along the border in the area of the so-called Devyanishka Loop - this is a ledge of Lithuanian territory in the Shalchininkai region, extending deep into Belarus.
The furry "border guard" trotted along the barrier at the border, sometimes going on a run. Periodically, he stood up on his hind legs, busily examining the surroundings.
So he checked the approaches to the border for almost three kilometers.
“The volunteer did not find any violations in this area, he did not detain suspicious persons,” the Lithuanian border guards commented.
After inspecting the border, the bear returned to the forest.
