In South Korea, a gang of eight people was detained. They are entirely rented a hotel in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, and within months they dug an underground tunnel from it to a nearby oil pipeline. The criminals were caught just at the moment when they practically reached the goal.

The criminals rented a hotel near their target under pretext that they wish to acquire it, and spent most of day, digging with the simplest tools so as not to attract attention to loud sounds.
The attackers looked around the hotel for a long time before contacting with his owner and convince him that they are determined to take hotel business. They rented it for 4.5 million won a month, immediately closed the hotel allegedly for repairs and began to dig in the basement of the building.
