Study: How many steps do you need to take to burn calories from drinking alcohol?
For one decent feast, you can gain as many calories as you won't get it in a whole week. So something needs to be done sporty, so as not to put the consequences of goodies on their sides and belly. But this only applies to food, right .... right? Unfortunately no. Alcohol can also be very high in calories. So shake the dust off your fitness bracelets and smart watches. French developers mobile application WeWard calculated how many calories per the most popular alcoholic drinks. They also calculated how many steps you need to go in order to compensate for the gatherings in the bar with friends.
So, here is the list from largest to smallest:
1. Cider (pint) - 240 calories - 5670 steps (51 minute walk).
2. Wine (glass) - 225 calories - 5575 steps (49 minutes walk).
3. Guinness beer (pint) - 210 calories - 5480 steps (46 minutes walk).
4. Beer lager (pint) - 200 calories - 5385 steps (43 minutes walk).
5. Vodka with juice (25 ml of vodka and 100 ml of juice) - 110 calories - 2720 steps, (22 minutes walk).
6. Gin and tonic (25 ml gin and 75 ml tonic) - 100 calories - 2650 steps (21 minute walk).
7. Jagermeister (30 ml) - 95 calories - 2595 steps (20 minutes walk).
8. Champagne (glass) - 90 calories - 2520 steps (19 minutes walk).
9. Whiskey Jack Daniels (50 ml shot) - 60 calories - 1680 steps (12 minutes walk).
