Dozens of people were injured after the stone-throwing festival. In honor of the full moon day, the Bagwal festival was held on the territory of the Devidhur temple. Festival participants throw stones at each other in the hope of appeasing the deity.
In 2013, the court even ordered believers to use flowers and fruits instead of stones. But believers were afraid that the lack of blood would anger the deity.
Why do people throw stones at each other?
As you know, Indian deities are very bloodthirsty. To appease them, the Indians must shed each other's blood. One way is to throw stones at each other. During the festival, doctors are on duty, but sometimes they get it too. The mutilated Hindus are proud that they appeased the gods with their blood.
