The period from 1900 to 1920 was an aviation boom that led to creation of specialized research institutes, aircraft factories and transferred the aircraft industry from the refuge eccentric enthusiasts into a huge industry. 
At the beginning of the 20th century, when aviation was in its infancy, and the Wright brothers just made their first flight, lots of enthusiasts inspired by this theme. They experimented and built their machines to conquer the sky.
