Truck crashes into bus, destroys venerated statue in Indonesia

An accident involving two large vehicles occurred on the Jakarta-Bandung main toll road, in Jalan Raya Pemuda Kampung Sasakbeusi (Mekargalih village, Jatiluhur district, Purwakarta city) last Sunday, January 22.
A revered sculpture of a deity that got in the way of an unruly heavy truck turned into ruins.
According to updated data provided by local media, the driver of the truck, whose brakes failed, lost control and demolished the statue, and then crashed into a regular bus. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
