A lone wolf from North America set a record - he traveled over 6,700 kilometers during the migration. It's a "journey" took the male 18 months, and scientists received all the data from his GPS collar. 
Migration is an important part in the animal kingdom. humpback whales and killer whales can travel thousands of miles to mate and give birth, and tigers - hundreds of kilometers in search of females. Gray wolves also migrate to long distances. Recently one lone wolf from North America set a whole record - he overcame 6700 kilometers. Scientists tracked data from the GPS collar that was on the wolf, and found that his path ran through the Great Lakes region and took 18 months. 
This wolf was given a GPS collar as part of the program maintenance of the population, which has been conducted in the USA since 1992. So scientists learn more information about species, track and follow them well-being. But this male exceeded all expectations with his 1.5-year-old journey - he started it in Michigan, and during this time went through the territory of several lakes, made a "loop" between the states, went to territory of Canada and passed through the territory of three national parks. 
The last park he ended up in was a national park. Canadian park Whiteshell. In this park, unfortunately, the wolf was shot hunter. He did this during a legal hunt, and said that, alas, not saw his GPS collar. However, the story of this wolf-traveler long remembered by scientists and netizens.
